Our Ethics and Mission
We are a Fiduciary Firm (click for more)
As an investment advisor representative firm we are held to the fiduciary standard of professional conduct. This means that any advice we give must be done so with the client’s best interest as paramount. Frankly, this presents no additional burden to us as we are wired internally to do so anyway.
We are a Relational Firm (click for more)
Financial planning is nothing if not a very personal process. This is why we love to do what we do. Our focus then is not so much on building a book of business as it is serving our family of clients. We are more interested in planning and people than we are in transactions or product. This is why our clients don’t feel like they are “just a number” with us.
We are an Independent Firm (click for more)
The Good Book tells us “you cannot serve two masters”. Having started off as a registered representative for a national brokerage firm, we experienced first-hand the conflict of interest between serving our clients and serving the brokerage house. Been there, done that, won’t ever do it again. By breaking free to independence there is no question about where our loyalties lie or who we represent. You can be confident that we work for and only answer to you.
We are a Transparent Firm (click for more)
Our clients have come to truly appreciate our level of openness and honesty. When asked a question, we will give you the real, full, true answer the first time. We don’t duck and weave, we don’t wrangle over words, and we don’t change the subject. As always, all fees are fully disclosed before an investment is ever entered into.
We are a Faith-Based Firm (click for more)
The first calling upon our lives (Chris Tanke and Chris Brown) was to pastoral ministry, mission organizations, Chaplaincy in the USAF Reserves. The second calling upon our lives was financial planning and accounting. While we never saw this coming the day we graduated from seminary, we are confident that God had lead us to where we are today. We simply mention this so that you might know who we are as people, and where our ultimate priorities lie.
